Message From The Supervisor

Orland Township is a dynamic community rich with children and families, seniors, and young professionals. We have embraced this diversity, multiplicity and variety of needs, and have responded with an array of programs and services to reach every person and lifestyle in our community. From our senior events and family-oriented pet parades to our resume writing workshops and job fairs, Orland Township offers something for everybody.

As Supervisor, I have worked to ensure that our programs support and raise awareness of critical services. Our annual Senior American Idol and Dancing with the Senior Stars events, for instance, raise funds for the Orland Township Scholarship Fund, which helps exemplary local youth pursue higher education. Our annual Pet-palooza parade and fair raises money, pet food, and supplies for “Crashy’s Closet,” the Township’s Pet Pantry. Our Illumin8K Run/Walk in September 2013 raised funds for the Jason Foundation, which works to prevent youth suicide through educational and awareness programs. And our annual Holiday Program raises money, food, toys, and new clothes through various activities for local families in need.

Township government plays a crucial role in promoting a greater quality of life for our residents. Orland Township strives to provide services that are useful and relevant for our community, and so we are constantly engaging with Township residents to ensure they receive the services they deem most important.

Looking ahead, we will continue working to ensure our Township prospers and enhances the quality of life for our individual residents and greater community. As we work together to build a stronger future, Orland Township will continue to provide our residents with valuable and beneficial services and programs.

Sincerely,
Supervisor Paul O’Grady
