Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady invites residents to an evening of dinner and dance competition as couples vie for the coveted Orland Township Mirror Ball Trophy at the seventh annual Dancing with the Senior Stars of Orland Township.
Modeled after the popular television show “Dancing with the Stars”, Dancing with the Senior Stars of Orland Township will feature six couples, ages 55 or better, who will perform two dances each. The winners will be chosen based on their scores from a panel of local celebrity judges (studio owners / dance instructors), audience vote and ballot box totals. Each couple will have a ballot box set up and audience members are encouraged to fill the boxes of their favorite dancers with money. All ballot box money is donated to the Orland Township Scholarship Foundation.
“These talented and energetic couples have been practicing their dance skills for more than two months,” said Supervisor O’Grady. “This will be a fun evening for them to showcase their skills while raising money for the Orland Township Scholarship Foundation.”
Dancing with the Senior Stars of Orland Township is scheduled for Tuesday, November 13 at Georgios Banquets, 8800 W. 159th St., Orland Park. Tickets are $30 and include a plated dinner, non-alcoholic drinks (cash bar available) and dessert while viewing the live show. Tickets must be purchased in advance at Orland Township, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Orland Township Scholarship Foundation.
