(Orland Township, IL — March 19, 2020) — For the safety of the Township community and staff, to help prevent the spread of germs and illness and in accordance with CDC guidelines, as of 4 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2020, the Orland Township Administration building, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave. and the Orland Township Highway Department building, 16125 S. Wolf Rd., will be closed to the public until further notice.
The following changes are being made to daily operations:
The Township Food Pantry will still be operational, but has moved to a drive-thru format. Residents accessing the Food Pantry are asked to stay in their vehicles and forms and groceries will be brought to their vehicle by Township staff. Identification with proof of residency is required. Food Pantry service is available Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Senior residents, 60 years of age and older, who are self-quarantining and in need of basic grocery necessities and/or medication pick-up may call the Township to arrange a delivery to their residence. Please call the Township at (708) 403-4222, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for guidelines and to schedule a delivery.
Senior Transportation services, for medical appointments only, are still available, Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Township Immunization Clinic previously scheduled for Saturday, April 4, has been cancelled. Check the Township’s website for information on future clinic dates. Wellness Wednesday appointments will not be scheduled until further notice.
The Highway Department is not accepting any items for recycling at this time. Residents may contact the Highway Department Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at (708) 403-5148.
Residents needing to schedule appointments for various Township services may call (708) 403-4222. Requests for appointments will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and we ask residents to request appointments for immediate needs and services only.
All programs, activities and events were previously cancelled until further notice.
