After the devastating Hurricane Harvey in Texas, Supervisor Paul O’Grady and the Board of Trustees are to aid those who have been devastated by the disaster. Orland Township will donate medical supplies from our Health Services Department, and gently used and clean equipment from its successful Nurse’s Closet. We will also donate pet food from our Pet Food Pantry for those animals in need.
“Our mission statement has always been to help those in need” said Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady. “Helping those people in Houston and some of the other surrounding areas with wheel chairs, walkers and other supplies we are collecting for our Nurse’s Closet will hopefully assist those who need those medical supplies.”
We are requesting donations of gently used clean medical equipment, limited to walkers, crutches, canes and wheelchairs. All pet food donations must be unopened.
Collection of these items will take place from 8:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 5 and Wednesday, September 6, at Orland Township Office located at 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park.
