Orland Township is partnering with South Suburban PADS to provide winter outerwear to the area’s homeless population, according to the office of Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady.
Residents can help those in need by donating new coats, hats, gloves and mittens in adult sizes. Donations are being accepted at Orland Township and will be distributed by the South Suburban PADS organization.
“Winter weather has really hit our area the past few weeks and a new coat or pair of gloves can make a huge difference to someone in need,” said Supervisor O’Grady. “I hope our generous residents will come through once again and help us provide some of our struggling neighbors with coats, gloves and hats to help them through the rest of the season.”
Donations can be dropped off at the Township office, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park, during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Tuesdays until 6 p.m. Items will be accepted through Tuesday, February 5.
