Orland Township Recognizes Holiday Program Participants

Certificates of Appreciation were handed out at the Orland Township February Board meeting to several groups and individuals who donated to the 2018 Orland Township Holiday Program, according to the office of Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady.

More than 100 groups and individuals contributed to the holiday program. Supervisor O’Grady personally presented the certificates to more than a dozen of the participants, including a local girl scout troop and cub scout pack, thanking them for helping to make the program a success.

“Some of you participated by having a friendly competition among your peers, to earn a merit badge or to help teach your own children about the spirit of giving,” said Supervisor O’Grady. “Whatever the reason, please accept Orland Township’s heartfelt gratitude and know that your kindness and generosity helped make the holiday season a little brighter for more than 160 struggling families in our community. On behalf of those families, myself and the Board of Trustees, thank you for helping spread the joy of the holiday season.”
