Orland Township to Celebrate Make a Difference Day Oct.28

National Make a Difference Day is happening on Saturday, Oct. 28, and this year Orland Township is participating in this “national day of doing something good” by collecting donations for the Manteno Veterans Home. Supervisor Paul O’Grady and the Board of Trustees would like to encourage residents to donate new clothes, toiletries, non-perishable food items and gift cards to help our local veterans residing at Manteno.  Monetary donations will also be accepted. All donations will be collected from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28 at Orland Township, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., Orland Park.

“National Make a Difference Day is a great way for our community to give back,” said O’Grady. “Orland Township participates in this event every year, and we are honored that our community can come together to give back to the veterans at Manteno.
