The band Sundance scheduled to perform
As the State of Illinois readies for the start Phase 4 of Restore Illinois, Orland Township will start to welcome back Township seniors, residents 55 and older, by hosting a drive-in concert, according to the office of Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady.
The drive-in concert will feature the band Sundance and will be held on Friday, June 26 in the Moraine Valley Community College Southwest Education Center parking lot, 17900 S. 94th Ave., Tinley Park. The lot will open at 4 p.m., with the concert beginning at 5 p.m.
Tickets are $10 per car and will go on sale at the Township Office, 14807 S. Ravinia Ave., on Monday, June 15 at 8 a.m. Tickets will be available until Friday, June 26, 2 p.m. or until the event is sold out.
Vehicles will be spaced for social distancing and guests will be asked to follow current social distancing guidelines, including wearing a face mask. Chairs/seating will not be provided and guests should bring their own lawn chairs if they plan to sit outside of their vehicle.
Joey’s Red Hots will have a food truck on-site for guests to purchase food and drink. Guests will not have access to the inside of the building, however there will be port-a-potties and hand washing stations on site. No pets or alcohol will be permitted.
“The past few months have been a difficult time for everyone, especially our seniors,” said Supervisor O’Grady. “We are happy to host this concert for our seniors as we start to welcome them back to Township events and collectively enter the next phase of our great state reopening.”
