Orland Township Food Pantry and Orland Park Meijer Partner Through “Simply Give” Program

DOUBLE MATCH DAYS:  SEPTEMBER 1ST AND SEPTEMBER 2ND

As part of the 2017 Fall Simply Give campaign, which runs from Sunday, August20 through Saturday, September 16, we are bringing back the much appreciated Double Match Days.

This campaign’s Double Match Days will take place from Friday, September 1 through Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Orland Park Meijer store located at 15701 71st Ct, Orland Park, IL During these two days, Meijer will double match every customer’s $10 Simply Give donation (up to a maximum donation of $25,000 per pantry). This means that for every $10 donation card purchased, Meijer will give $20 to the program, resulting in a total $30 donation (up to a maximum double match donation of $50,000 per pantry).

Hunger is a problem that continues to increase in all of our communities. We truly appreciate your partnership and all the incredible work in feeding the hungry families in our communities.

“The Orland Township Food Pantry plays a vital role in our community,” said Marianne Hill, Orland Township Food Pantry Coordinator. “The Simply Give Program is a wonderful way to help support the Orland Township Food Pantry.”

The program encourages customers to purchase $10 Simply Give donation cards, which are then converted into Meijer food-only gift cards and given to the Orland Township Food Pantry. Buy a $10 Simply Give Card at the Orland Park Meijer location and the Orland Township Food Pantry will receive $20.

The Orland Township Food Pantry will benefit from donation cards purchased at the Orland Park Meijer store located at 15701 71st Ct, Orland Park, IL now through Sept.16th.  Matching dates are scheduled for Aug. 2oth through Sept.16th at the Orland Park Meijer location.  Every Simply Give donation on those days will be matched to help in the fight against hunger.

Orland Township (www.orlandtownship.org), established in 1850, is the level of government closest to residents. Its purpose is to educate and coordinate programs and services that will enhance community life and promote activity and overall wellness for residents.
