Support Orland Township Food Pantry by “Stuffing the Squads”

Orland Township Food Pantry, in partnership with Mariano’s of Orland Park and the Orland Park Police Department will participate in a week-long drive to stock the shelves of the Orland Township Food Pantry, according to Orland Township Supervisor Paul O’Grady.

During “Stuff the Squads” week, customers of the Orland Park Mariano’s will have the opportunity to contribute to the food drive at the checkout registers by purchasing a $5 or $10 pre-stuffed bag of groceries. At the end of the week, all the donations will be ‘stuffed’ into Orland Park Police Department squad cars and delivered to the Orland Township Food Pantry.

“We truly appreciate Mariano’s, Orland Park Police and Mariano’s customers for their generosity and support,” said Supervisor O’Grady. “Events like ‘Stuff the Squad’ help stock the shelves of the Orland Township Food Pantry and allow us to assist more than 300 families every month.”

Pre-stuffed grocery bags will be available for purchase at the Orland Park Mariano’s from Saturday, July 21 through Saturday, July 28. Orland Park Police squad cars will be ‘stuffed’ and then deliver all donations to the Orland Township Food Pantry on Saturday, July 28.
