Orland Township offers a variety of day and overnight trips, which are cost effective and enjoyable and appeal to diverse interests and expectations.
Trip escorts are provided by Orland Township. All escorts should be made aware of any medical conditions that participants may have. In the event of an emergency, trip escorts will arrange for transportation to the local health facility but must remain with the group unless a participant is traveling alone.
All participants are required to provide an alternative emergency contact name and phone number upon ticket purchase. Orland Township requests that all travelers keep important medication and health information with them at all times.
Trip tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. on the date specified and are sold on a first come, first served basis. All tickets purchased include deluxe motor coach reserved seating, are limited to two per person, and are non-transferable. Refunds will not be given but trip insurance is available.
Buses leave from the north side of 151st Street directly between Bank Financial and Robert Morris College.

Day 1 – Depart from Orland Park and travel to Holland, Michigan for the Annual Holland Tulip Festival. Arrive in early afternoon to enjoy lunch on your own in the area. This afternoon you will visit Dutch Village where you will see Dutch folk dancing, wooden shoe carving, and Amsterdam street organs. Live entertainment is continuous throughout the day, and after your visit, depart for a local dinner. After dinner you will check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxing night
Day 2 – Breakfast at the motel, then return to Holland. Today’s activities include a visit to the Veldheer Tulip Gardens and DeKlomp Wooden Shoe & Delft Factory, where you can view the beautiful tulips and watch the craftsmen carve wooden shoes by hand and machine. After lunch on your own, meet your Dutch-costumed guide for a tour of Holland’s historic areas, city parks, Hope College, a view of the windmill, Tulip Lanes and Downtown Holland. This evening enjoy a spectacular show, then return to your hotel for a restful evening.
Day 3 – After breakfast, check out and return to Holland. Spend the morning at Windmill Island Gardens, home of “DeZwaan”, an authentic Dutch Windmill. Explore the beautiful grounds before departing for home with lasting memories of the Holland Tulip Festival.
