Orland Township offers a variety of day and overnight trips, which are cost effective and enjoyable and appeal to diverse interests and expectations.

Trip escorts are provided by Orland Township. All escorts should be made aware of any medical conditions that participants may have. In the event of an emergency, trip escorts will arrange for transportation to the local health facility but must remain with the group unless a participant is traveling alone.

All participants are required to provide an alternative emergency contact name and phone number upon ticket purchase. Orland Township requests that all travelers keep important medication and health information with them at all times.

Trip tickets go on sale at 8 a.m. on the date specified and are sold on a first come, first served basis. All tickets purchased include deluxe motor coach reserved seating, are limited to two per person, and are non-transferable. Refunds will not be given but trip insurance is available.

Buses leave from the north side of 151^st Street directly between Bank Financial and Robert Morris College.

Boats, Trains and Motor Coaches Tour

Get ready for a delightful day of sightseeing, storytelling, and classic Wisconsin charm! This specially planned trip for seniors combines a relaxed pace, memorable experiences, and beautiful scenery as we travel by motor coach, trolley train and boat.

Our adventure begins aboard a comfortable motor coach, where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride as we head towards East Troy, WI. Traveling together makes the journey just as enjoyable as the destination, with time to chat, laugh and take in the passing countryside. Step back in time as we board the historic East Troy Electric Railroad trolley, one of the last operating electric interurban railways in the country. As the trolley glides along the tracks, you will enjoy the charming views and a gentle ride that brings history to life.

We will enjoy a delicious lunch aboard the trolley. Next, we will make a stop at the beloved Elegant Farmer, a true Wisconsin favorite. This charming county market is famous for it’s fresh-baked pies (baked right in paper bags!), specialty foods, local treats and unique gifts. Take your time browsing the store, sampling goodies, picking up baked treats to take home, or simply soaking in the warm, nostalgic atmosphere of this iconic stop.

Our day continues in beautiful Lake Geneva, where we will board a relaxing narrated boat tour on the sparkling lake. From the water, you will enjoy breathtaking views of manicured gardens, historic mansion, and natural shoreline scenery.

As you cruise, you will hear fascinating stories about Lake Geneva’s history, the families who built the grand estates and the legends that make this destination so special. This smooth, leisurely boat ride is a guest favorite and a wonderful way to unwind.
